Erie County to Award Grant from Municipal Infrastructure and GAP Program

WHAT: Collaborative project with Greene Township, Millcreek Township, and Erie Water Works to extend public water services not only to the Commercial Corridor of Route 8 in Greene Township but also to Millcreek Township at Route 8 and I-90. This multi-municipal initiative is crucial for the economic development of the area. The business district along Route 8 currently lacks the necessary infrastructure for growth, and access to public water is essential for attracting new businesses and supporting existing ones. This development will create jobs, increase property values, and stimulate local commerce. Additionally, Kuhl Hose Fire Department, located along this corridor, will benefit significantly from access to public water, reducing the need to travel for hydrant access and improving response times to fire emergencies.
