QINGDAO, Oct. 18 -- The Chinese and Russian participating taskforces wrapped up the Northern/Interaction-2024 exercise and arrived at a military port in Qingdao City, east China's Shandong Province, on Thursday morning.

The Russian naval taskforce, composed of ships including the large anti-submarine ships Admiral Tributs (Hull 564) and Admiral Panteleyev (Hull 548), will pay a three-day goodwill visit to Qingdao.

The Chinese and Russian naval taskforces held the Northern/Interaction-2024 exercise from September 11 to 27. The two sides conducted two stages of live drills on such subjects as security alert and defense, fire strike, and joint anti-submarine operations. After concluding the exercise, the two naval taskforces carried out their fifth joint maritime patrol in relevant waters of the Pacific Ocean.

During the visit of the Russian naval taskforce, the two sides will review the exercise and hold discussions and exchanges. The Russian side will host ship-open day and deck-reception activities to further promote the friendship between the people and troops of the two sides.
