Smart Trips Challenge: Rewarding Car Free and Car Light Travel this September

The Smart Trips Challenge is free and open to everyone 18 and older in Dane County. Every trip that participants make by walking/rolling, bicycling, riding the bus, carpooling and vanpooling-instead of driving alone-counts.

The first 25 participants to log an eligible trip will receive a $10 gift card to Ian's Pizza. The challenge will also offer weekly and grand prize drawings, along with a special Metro Transit swag drawing for participants choosing transit throughout the month.

There are two easy steps to participate:

1. Register with RoundTrip at www.RoundTripGreaterMadison.org.
2. Log your walk/roll, bike, bus, carpool, and vanpool trips throughout September to qualify for exciting weekly and grand prizes.

Participants must log at least four round trips each week to be entered into drawings for $50 gift cards from CommuteRewards and Madison Originals. Log fifteen round trips throughout the month to be eligible for one of four $150 grand prize gift cards from CommuteRewards, Wheel & Sprocket and REI. Participants who log at least four round-trip bus trips will also be eligible to win Metro Transit swag.

Employers in Dane County can also get involved and foster a culture of sustainable commuting by promoting employee team participation in their workplace network in RoundTrip. Businesses and organizations may contact [email protected] to have a workplace network set up for free.
