In 2019, the DoubleTree cookie made aerospace history when it was baked in orbit aboard the International Space Station during experiments aimed at making space travel more hospitable. This spring, representing the brand's commitment to warm and caring service anywhere in the universe, the first-ever food baked in space, the DoubleTree cookie, landed on display at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Virginia.

In 2023, on National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day, DoubleTree by Hilton introduced an allergy-friendly version of the chocolate chip cookie to extend the brand's signature welcome to even more guests. Served as an option alongside the original at check-in, the soft-baked allergy-friendly chocolate chip cookie is made in collaboration with Partake Foods, in a dedicated top nine allergen-free facility and is gluten-free, non-GMO and vegan.
