Dr. David S. Adams has died. He was a longtime sociology professor at Ohio State Lima, one of our first Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching Award winners, and chronicler of campus life. Anyone who lives within the Lima city limits would see his artwork in their monthly water bills. You can read more about the institutions and areas he served throughout his many years in the Lima community here.

Dr. Biswa Datta, retired associate professor of mathematics and department coordinator for Ohio State Lima, has died. He was 87. A private ceremony was held in Georgia, where he lived with his wife Alo. He earned a Master of Science in Mathematics in 1968 and a PhD in Mathematics in 1971. He taught mathematics for 38 years. Alo Datta reports that he loved being in the classroom, cared deeply about his students and their successes and was proud to be a Buckeye.
