City Property Tax Bills Soon In Mailboxes

City of Alpharetta homeowners will begin receiving annual property tax notices in their mailboxes in the coming days. While they may have already received a property tax bill from Fulton County covering the county and school system property taxes for the year, the City of Alpharetta bills separately to avoid having to pay the County for that service.

The City will begin mailing the notices to the owner of the record on or about October 1, based on January 01, 2024, records from the Fulton County Tax Assessor for each property parcel. If a property owner has not received their City tax bill by Tuesday, October 15, they are encouraged to contact the City of Alpharetta by sending an email to [email protected].

Property tax payments are due by December 01, 2024.

The City provides multiple homestead exemptions that save our homeowners over $10 million annually, helping to keep Alpharetta an affordable place to live and raise a family.

While most homeowners pay their property taxes through an escrow connected to their monthly mortgage payment, some pay directly. Once they have received their bill, those who pay directly can make their payment online at https://bit.ly/RealEstateTaxes-Alpharetta.

There is also an online payment option for personal property taxes. Personal property is everything not considered real property, typically inventory and fixtures used in conducting business, as well as boats, aircraft, machinery, etc. Personal property tax payments can be made at https://bit.ly/PersonalPropertyTaxes-Alpharetta.
