Brown Announces New Investment in Akron Canton Regional Airport

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced a new investment in the Akron Canton Regional Airport to reconstruct runway lighting. The Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration awarded the $2,703,150 investment to the Akron Canton Regional Airport Authority as part of the Airport Improvement Program.

"Ohio airports are vital infrastructure supporting travel and commerce in our state," Brown said. "This investment will enhance safety and operations at the Akron Canton Regional Airport and improve travel for Ohio families and businesses."
