Important Update on FEMA Individual Assistance Program

Here is a quick update on the FEMA Individual Assistance (IA) program from the Jasper County Emergency Management Agency:

Disaster Recovery Center Operations:

• The Disaster Recovery Center is open through Saturday, July 27 (8 AM - 6 PM) this week.
• It will re-open next week on Monday, July 29 through Saturday, August 3 (8 AM - 6 PM).

FEMA Outreach:

• FEMA personnel have contacted 1,873 residences and businesses, including 1,780 households.
• As of today, FEMA staff will no longer go door-to-door in neighborhoods. However, FEMA inspectors will still conduct scheduled visits. Homeowners will be contacted before these visits, and inspectors will provide a registration number to verify their identity.

Jasper County has surpassed the $1 million mark in Individual Assistance and now accounts for nearly 50% of the entire declaration. This milestone highlights the importance of efforts to ensure Jasper County's inclusion in the declaration.
