Building a Tradition: Be Well Fest 2024 Brings Students Together for Health and Fun

Be Well Fest returned for its second year, helping students become acquainted with the many Student Health, Wellness, and Prevention Services offerings in a fun and engaging environment. With last year's success setting the tone, this year's event on September 17 was bigger than last year, drawing over 400 students.

Be Well Fest aims to promote services that empower students to take control of their physical and mental health. Building upon the solid groundwork established last year, this year's event introduced a flu pod hosted by CVS Pharmacy, which was a huge success. Students lined up to prepare themselves for the upcoming flu season.

The event featured many activities hosted by the various Student Health, Wellness, and Prevention Services departments, such as tie-dying, rock painting, lawn games, and free ice cream. Attendees were also invited to take tours of the Student Health and Counseling Center, highlighting key areas of the facility housing Student Health Services and Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). The party continued well into the afternoon as Wolfie stopped by to put smiles on the faces of students and staff alike. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many looking forward to next year's event.

With a larger turnout and an expanded program, Be Well Fest continues to grow in scope and impact. Plans are already in motion for next year's event, which promises to be even bigger and better.

"Be Well Fest is a special opportunity for us to come together and express our gratitude to our students for entrusting us with their well-being. Each of us plays a unique and essential role in their lives, and it is a privilege to impact their journey positively," said Marisa Bisiani, associate vice president for Health, Wellness, and Prevention Services. "Moments like this, when departments such as CAPS, SHS, CARE, RAW, SST, CPO, and SASC unite with our students as a community, truly highlight the strength and impact of our shared commitment. I am honored to work alongside such dedicated and exceptional teams."
