Long Beach, CA - The City of Long Beach Economic Development Department (Department) is in the process of updating its 2025-2028 Local Plan (Plan) and is inviting residents, local service providers, employers and other stakeholders to provide input by participating in a series of upcoming events.

Led by the Department's Long Beach Workforce Innovation Network (LBWIN), the Plan is developed every four years and is intended to highlight LBWIN's customization of regional and local services to meet the employment and job training needs of residents and businesses of Long Beach and Signal Hill.

The public is encouraged to learn more and provide input on the Plan by participating in one of three presentations as listed below. Interpretation services will be available in Spanish and Khmer during the presentations. Register online to attend one of the sessions.

Virtual Meeting

The Plan is due to the California Workforce Development Board (CWDB) by March 31, 2025, for approval. Prior to the submission of the Plan, a 30-day opportunity for public comment will be made available.

LBWIN was previously known as Pacific Gateway Workforce Innovation Network. The name change was part of Mayor Richardson's Budget Recommendations for the City's Fiscal Year 2025 Budget, which was approved by the City Council.
