Rosen Helps Introduce Bipartisan Bill to Require Annual Reports on Nation’s Fiscal State

WASHINGTON, DC - U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) joined Senator Mike Braun (R-IN) to help introduce bipartisan legislation to require annual reports on the nation's fiscal state. The bipartisan Fiscal State of the Nation Act would require the Comptroller General to address Congress each year and present the Financial Report of the United States Government in order to provide an analysis of the nation's fiscal state.

"Since coming to the U.S. Senate, it's been a priority for me to make sure Nevadans' hard-earned tax dollars are used efficiently & effectively," said Senator Rosen. "That's why I've helped introduce this bipartisan bill to promote more fiscal responsibility in Washington and require annual reports to Congress on the nation's fiscal state."

Senator Rosen has been a leader in fighting for fiscal responsibility and protecting Nevadans' tax dollars. Earlier this year, she helped pass bipartisan legislation out of committee to cut down on wasteful spending by ensuring the federal government does not make improper payments to people after they have passed away. She also joined bipartisan legislation to investigate, review, and audit federal funding from pandemic-related programs, federal unemployment insurance, Small Business Administration loans, and other landmark legislation to stop any waste, fraud, and abuse of taxpayer dollars. Additionally, Senator Rosen recently announced that the bipartisan Billion Dollar Boondoggle Act she joined to increase transparency in government projects that are delayed or over budget passed the Senate.
