RCMP National Memorial Service, September 8, 2024

Honouring our fallen members is of utmost importance to all of us in the RCMP. The most visible act of remembrance is the RCMP National Memorial Service, held annually on the second Sunday of September since 1935. It honours regular members, special constables, auxiliary constables and civilian members - all who lost their lives under different circumstances, but all in the line of duty.

This year, the RCMP will add two fallen to the Honour Roll and Cenotaph; Cst. Frederick "Rick" O'Brien and historical addition, Cst. Brent Harold Veefkind.
