Widener and the Philadelphia Union celebrated wins across the board at Sunday's match.

Alumni join Chester and Melrose to cheer on the Union.

As the presenting partner for the team's match against D.C. United, students, faculty, staff, and alumni packed into Subaru Park to cheer on the Union and its thriving partnership with the university.

Since becoming the official university of the Union in 2023, the Widener-Union collaboration has launched a series of opportunities for current and prospective students that support experiential learning across disciplines, community engagement, career-building through internships and co-ops, and more.

As a benefit of being a presenting partner, Widener was well-represented throughout the Chester stadium.

Chester and Melrose were among the Philly mascots greeting fans, tossing t-shirts, and celebrating alongside Phang, the Union's mascot, for his birthday.
