The two leaders expressed satisfaction with the successful outcome of the recent state visit that the President of Russia made to Azerbaijan. They noted that consistent implementation of the agreements reached during the visit would further promote the alliance and partnership between Russia and Azerbaijan.
They continued to discuss various aspects of the current situation in the South Caucasus, including the drafting of a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia, border delimitation and demarcation, and the unblocking of transport lines between the two states. In this connection, the Russian side reaffirmed its readiness to provide all possible assistance to Baku and Yerevan in working out mutually acceptable solutions.
The presidents agreed to maintain personal contacts.
