Making a Difference - Trinseo Hong Kong Supports Environmental Conservation Efforts

On August 3, 2024, 52 volunteers from Trinseo's Hong Kong office and Tsing Yi plant participated in a flag day event organized by the Ocean Park Conservation Foundation, Hong Kong (OPCFHK). The event raised funds to assist with local mammal stranding, other scientific projects focused on local species, and community education programs.

Since 2006, OPCFHK has been collaborating with the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) of Hong Kong to investigate marine mammal stranding cases. They then share their findings to facilitate AFCD strategies to protect Chinese white dolphins and finless porpoises. OPCFHK also allocates funding to support other conservation and research projects in Asia.

Trinseo Hong Kong is proud to have participated in the flag day event to support environmental conservation efforts. For all volunteers, it was a day that involved exercising outdoors and many smiles.
