E. Main St. Closed to through traffic from Poseyville Bridge to State St.

Beginning Wednesday, October 23, East Main Street, including on-street parking, will be closed to through traffic from just east of the Poseyville Bridge to State Street as work begins on the pedestrian walkway for the Poseyville Preserve project.

Persons in the area should expect to encounter noise and vibrations during the November to December time frame as contractors work to install large footings for the pedestrian walkway.

During the closure, Main Street traffic will be detoured to Townsend, Ellsworth and State Streets. Main Street will be open and parking maintained through Cronkright Street, including the Riverside Place parking lot.

This closure is expected to be in place through April 1, 2025.
