IPC Urges U.S. Congress to Pass Key Bills to Help Strengthen Electronics Ecosystem

IPC applauds the work of the Armed Services Committees and the Senate Appropriations Committee for reporting bills including key provisions which will strengthen the electronics ecosystem. Today, the Senate Appropriations Committee favorably reported its FY2025 Defense Appropriations Bill, which includes a $500 million increase over the President's budget request for Defense Production Act investments.

Last month, the FY25 NDAA bills each included key report language requiring the Department of Defense to provide updates to Congress on its efforts to close the manufacturing capability gap for printed circuit boards and implement a trusted supply chain standard. IPC encourages Congress to engage with our 1,400 U.S. members during the August district work period to learn more about their contributions to national defense and critical infrastructure.

We urge passage of these key bills when Congress returns in the Fall.
