Arcadia University Forensic Science Department Hosts Annual Welcome Dinner with Special Guest Speakers

On Saturday, November 8, Arcadia University's Forensic Science Department enjoyed its annual Welcome Dinner Event, allowing the first and second-year Master of Science in Forensic Science (MSFS) students to get to know each other better. In addition to speaking with their peers, they got the opportunity to talk to important members of the Forensic Science department and other special guests.

Students arrived and got to mingle with each other over a catered dinner with refreshments. Then they had the privilege to hear about the lives of four distinguished alumna of the MSFS program who were kind enough to provide the young scientists with career advice and tips. The Arcadia University Forensic Science Department would like to thank Amy Stringer '21M, Haley Bibey '24M, Kira Bochard '23M, and Dr. Megan Foley '14M for sharing their time and wisdom as people who have conquered the program.

In addition to the alumni, students also heard from Dr. Tatjana Miletic, chair of the Chemistry, Physics, and Forensic Science programs at Arcadia; Dr. Barry Logan, chief scientist at the Center for Forensic Science Research and Education (CFSRE) and NMS Labs; Dr. Eric Rieders, chairman of the Board for the Fredric Rieders Family Foundation; and two professors from the Forensic Science department, Dr. Anthony Costantino and Edward Schikel.

This great event would not have been possible without MSFS Program Director Dr. Fabio Oldoni, Heather Sherman, Joel Moss, and Molly Trautman-a very special thanks to all of them for planning and executing such a wonderful night for the program!
