TECO and Zhen Ding Reach Strategic Cooperation to Deepen Energy Saving, Carbon Reduction, and Sustainable Development Business

TECO Electric and Machinery Co., Ltd. (TWSE: 1504), a global provider of mechatronic systems, automation, and smart energy management, and Zhen Ding Technology (TWSE: 4958), a leading global PCB manufacturer, jointly announced today (24th) the signing of a strategic cooperation framework agreement. The two companies will establish a comprehensive strategic partnership to promote energy saving, carbon reduction, and sustainable development within the PCB industry. The initial phase will focus on comprehensive collaboration in the "Intelligent Energy Management " project, leveraging their respective technological advantages and innovative capabilities. Through technological exchange and experience sharing, they aim to jointly advance the low-carbon energy-saving initiatives and green transformation of the PCB sector.

TECO's plant energy-saving "Carbon Reduction Package" was successfully completed in Zhen Ding Technology Group's Shenzhen and Qinhuangdao zonesin 2023, achieving approximately RMB 1.5 million per year in electricity cost savings and an annual reduction in carbon emissions of about 1,800 tons of CO2e, demonstrating significant results. Morris Li, Chairman of TECO, stated that TECO aims to leverage its product and technology advantages, along with its mature and extensive energy-saving renovation solutions and comprehensive maintenance service system, to achieve green transformation for Zhen Ding Technology Group's global plants. This collaboration not only aligns with the energy-saving and carbon-reduction initiatives in the three-year development strategy of TECO, but also further promotes the establishment of a low-carbon ecosystem in the PCB industry. Both parties are targeting an annual carbon reduction of over 5,000 tons and will continue to optimize and upgrade.

Charles Shen, Chairman of Zhen Ding Technology Group, stated that "developing technology to benefit humanity; advancing environmental protection to make the Earth a better place" is Zhen Ding Technology Group's mission. Through this collaboration, they hope to utilize TECO's intelligent management technology to assist Zhen Ding in establishing an equipment health management platform. By leveraging the latest in IoT, cloud computing, big data, and mobile communications technologies, they aim to provide full lifecycle services for equipment operational status, and offer green energy integration solutions for energy saving, energy creation, and energy storage, thus ensuring safe, continuous, and low-carbon smart production for Zhen Ding.

The scope of cooperation also includes TECO Electric and Machinery Co., Ltd. providing Zhen Ding with technical improvement services for various operating conditions and comprehensive solutions for various power energy systems. This includes motor drive systems, circulating water systems, fan systems, air conditioning systems, air compression systems, and waste heat utilization. In terms of energy management collaboration, the two parties will prioritize the trial implementation of solar energy and energy storage system construction and operation and maintenance. Additionally, they will progressively engage in in-depth cooperation for monitoring, early warning, diagnosis, and trend analysis of intelligent equipment health operations.
