Denver Connector offers FREE weekday service using eco-friendly vehicles
DENVER - Today, Denver's Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) launched its free, on-demand ride share service - called the Denver Connector - into a third area of the city, increasing weekday travel options for residents in Villa Park and portions of Sun Valley, Westwood, Athmar Park, Ruby Hill and Valverde.
DOTI first started the Denver Connector service in Montbello in 2021, providing community members greater freedom of movement and an affordable and convenient way to travel within their neighborhood and to regional transit stops. The success of the program, demonstrated by high use, led to an expansion of the service into the adjacent neighborhood of Gateway and then into the Globeville and Elyria-Swansea neighborhoods. As of mid-November, the Denver Connector has provided rides to roughly 250,000 passengers.
The new service on the west side of Denver spans approximately a 6.3 square mile area and includes two recreation centers, Decatur-Federal and Alameda RTD transit stations, medical facilities, libraries, and convenient shopping destinations.
