On November 18, 2024, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Ismatullo Nasredin met with the Regional Representative of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Afghanistan, Central Asia, Iran and Pakistan Oliver Stolpe.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of cooperation between Tajikistan and the UNODC, including border security, combating cross-border threats such as terrorism and extremism, and interaction with the country's law enforcement agencies.
In addition, the parties confirmed their position on their readiness to further strengthen cooperation and develop mechanisms to eliminate existing threats to peace and security. Ismatullo Nasredin congratulated the Regional Representative on his appointment to position and wished him success in exercising his duties directed to strengthen regional stability.
