Meeting on the Cooperation Framework between the United Nations System and Argentina

A working meeting took place today at the Palacio San Martín on the Cooperation Framework between the United Nations System and Argentina, in preparation of the planning process for the adoption a new agreement that will cover the period 2026-2030.

The meeting was headed by the National Director of International Cooperation of the Foreign Ministry, Mateo Estrémé, and the United Nations Resident Coordinator in our country, Claudia Mojica, with the participation of representatives of national ministries, UN Agencies, Funds and Programs.

The current Cooperation Framework concludes its implementation cycle in December 2025. The development of the new Framework is based on a joint work roadmap designed between the Foreign Ministry's National Directorate of International Cooperation the Office of the Resident Coordinator, with contributions of national ministries.

In order to begin the planning process of the new 2026-2030 Cooperation Framework, the purpose of the working meeting was to inform and prepare the national government counterparts on the next steps of the roadmap where their collaboration is expected.

The new Cooperation Framework must be the result of a collaborative analysis and planning exercise that will integrate different counterparts. To this end, the Foreign Ministry will seek to guarantee the active participation of all national stakeholders in its various stages of evaluation, analysis and design, with a view to guiding the contents of the Framework to the priorities established by the National Government. In that sense, in the coming months new instances of dialogue and workshops will be organized with ministries and other relevant portfolios, as well as with UN Agencies, Funds and Programs.
