Vancouver Police Investigate Fatality

On this date at approximately 0425 hours Vancouver Police responded to a collision at the intersection of SE 117th Ave/Mill Plain Blvd. A male pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. The male was transported to a local hospital and did not survive his injuries. The driver stayed on scene and is cooperative. There is no evidence of impairment on the driver at this time. The Traffic Unit is on scene and taken over the investigation. Traffic in east Vancouver will be impacted for an extended amount of time this morning. Please avoid the area and use another route if possible.
