Cambridge Police Swear-In New Officers on December 13, 2024

Cambridge, MA - Cambridge Police welcomed eight new officers and their families at a swearing-in ceremony on Friday morning, December 13, 2024, at the Cambridge Police Department.

These new officers bring a range of knowledge and insight to CPD with their combined experience in law enforcement and dedication to public service. Please welcome:

Kelsey H. Souza
• Graduated from Braintree High School in 2006.
• Received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Health Sciences from University of Massachusetts Boston in May of 2013.
• Pursuing a Master of Arts in Homeland Security from Northeastern University
• Previously employed as a Police Officer at Northeastern University since November of 2020.

Deric A. Maddaleni
• Graduated from Lynnfield High School in June of 2012.
• Received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Endicott College in 2019.
• Served in the US Army as an E-4 Specialist.
• Previously employed as a Patrol Officer in Concord, MA since May of 2023.

David E. Walsh
• Graduated from Peabody Memorial High School in 2017.
• Served in the US Army as an Infantryman with the Stryker Brigade Combat Team & Infantry Rifle Platoon.
• Previously employed as a Police Officer at the Massachusetts Port Authority since April of 2024.

Christine Bork
• Graduated from Wakefield Memorial High School in 2004.
• Received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice in 2008 and a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice in 2011, both from University of Massachusetts Lowell.
• Previously employed as a Police Officer at Somerville Police Department since May of 2015.

Ryan M. Botto
• Graduated from Saint Joseph Regional High School in Montvale, NJ in 2017.
• Received a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice in 2021 and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Merrimack College in 2022.
• Previously employed as a Police Officer at Sudbury Police Department since September of 2022.

Sarah Hong
• Graduated from Convent of the Sacred Heart High School in San Francisco, CA in 2017.
• Received a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Psychology in May of 2021 and a Master of Arts in Homeland Security in December of 2023, both from Northeastern University.
• Previously employed as a Police Officer at Northeastern University since 2018.

Talita Ferro
• Graduated from the Ministry of Education and Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology in Brazil.
• Received a law degree from Federal University of Alagoas in December of 2015.
• Previously employed as a Police Officer at Medford Police Department since January of 2022.
• Fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.

Robert J. Liberge
• Graduated from Bishop Fenwick High School in May of 2012.
• Received a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Merrimack College in May of 2016 and a Master of Science in Information Technology from Southern New Hampshire University in February of 2020.
• Pursuing a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice from University of Massachusetts Lowell.
• Previously employed as a Police Officer with Lynn Police Department since May of 2022.
