Sanitary Sewer Maintenance Scheduled for Residents between Neltnor Blvd. and Joliet St.

Sanitary sewer maintenance is set for the area between Neltnor Boulevard and Joliet Street, and between Dayton Avenue and Forest Avenue. The work is expected to finish by December.

Residents in this area will receive a door hanger notification from Hoerr Construction, the City's contractor, when work is scheduled near your home. This notice will include the date work will be done within a three-day window, not counting Saturday and Sunday. The maintenance should take about 2-3 hours and will primarily take place in rear yard sewer easements.

The work involves cleaning the sewers using a water jet. During this time, residents may experience some issues, as pressure in the sewer line can cause water to come out of toilet traps. To minimize problems, please keep your toilets flushed and cover basement floor drains. As an extra precaution, consider placing a towel over the toilet rim and closing the lid on top of it.

All Hoerr Construction employees will have proper identification and will be driving marked vehicles.
