The below is attributable to Spokesperson Matthew Miller:

Today, in conjunction with the Annenberg Foundation Trust at Sunnylands, the United States hosted high-level government representatives from Australia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and the United Kingdom in St. Michaels, MD, to discuss quantum information science and technology (QIST). The U.S. delegation was led by Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell, alongside senior White House and State Department officials.

The participants discussed developing coordinated approaches to QIST to promote resilient and reliable supply chains, research and development collaboration, and a quantum future in line with shared interests and values, while enabling each country to maintain a competitive environment for quantum developments. Toward this end, they discussed opportunities and challenges for governments and the private sector to enhance QIST sector resilience and deepen cooperation, as well as their intent to expand their cooperation to include additional likeminded partners critical to the quantum ecosystem.
