In 2017 and 2018, ACL awarded eight "Living Well-Model Approaches for Enhancing the Quality, Effectiveness, and Monitoring of Home- and Community Based Services for Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities" (Living Well) grants. The Living Well grants aimed to build and implement model approaches to promote independence, integration, and inclusion in community life for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and to improve the quality of home and community-based services.

This webinar will highlight key lessons learned and promising practices from the Living Well grants and a new resource, the Developmental Disabilities Systems Change Toolkit: Lessons from the Living Well Grants Evaluation. Presenters from three Living Well grants in Idaho, Virginia, and Wisconsin will also highlight examples from their systems change efforts, with strategies relevant for stakeholders across the developmental disabilities network.

Speakers:

  • Sally Flaschberger, Living Well Project Manager, Wisconsin Board for People with Developmental Disabilities
  • Jen Magelky-Seiler, MPA, Living Well Project Coordinator, University of Idaho, Center on Disabilities and Human Development
  • Parthenia Dinora, Ph.D., Living Well Principal Investigator, Virginia Commonwealth University, Partnership for People with Disabilities
  • Molly Dellinger-Wray, M.S. Ed., Living Well Content Specialist, Virginia Commonwealth University, Partnership for People with Disabilities
