Hall Co. Animal Services rescues 23 animals from Gainesville residence

Hall County Animal Services rescued 23 dogs Thursday, Oct. 10 from a residence located in the 4000 block of Thompson Bridge Road in Gainesville.

Hall County Animal Control initially visited the residence on Monday, Sept. 23, for a welfare check. At that time, the homeowner would not allow Animal Control officers onto the property.

On Thursday, Oct. 10, Hall County Animal Control, with the assistance of the Hall County Sheriff's Office, executed a search warrant on the property. Upon entry, officers found 23 dogs and several violations, including poor sanitation and no water for the animals.

This case is under investigation by Hall County Animal Control.Further details may be released as they become available.
