USGBC's managing director of U.S. market transformation and development highlights Greenbuild events.

As the world's largest green building conference and expo, the Greenbuild International Conference and Expo offers first-class educational content, motivating keynote addresses, inspirational tours and the opportunity to explore the latest innovations in sustainable products, services and tech.

Greenbuild also serves as the preeminent annual gathering for our international green building community. It's an event we look forward to each year because we know we'll see old friends and meet new ones. "See you at Greenbuild!" has been my sign-off in so many emails lately that I'm considering adding it to my signature template.

Greenbuild provides a platform for us not only to gather as a community, but also to grow larger and more inclusive and to deepen our connections within sectors of the building industry, particularly those sectors where we can make the greatest impact. This year, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, we have a stellar lineup of community growth events planned, including both popular mainstay events such as Women in Green and new opportunities such as the USGBC sector roundtables. As part of our effort to make these events more inclusive, some are accessible with various levels of conference registration, while others can be registered for independently.

Check out a few of our community growth events below. See you at Greenbuild!

USGBC sector roundtables at the Philadelphia Convention Center

  • Hospitality, Nov. 13, 8-9 a.m. ET
  • Higher Education, Nov. 13, 5-6 p.m. ET
  • Public Sector, Nov. 14, 8-9 a.m. ET

These exclusive, sector-specific roundtable events will bring together diverse professionals from across the globe who are actively engaged in the development, design, construction and operation of facilities in the hospitality, higher education and public sectors. Each roundtable will promote peer connections and knowledge exchange while participants discuss solutions best suited for the session's target sector.

Greenbuild registration is not required. Roundtable attendees will have access to a free Greenbuild Expo pass to access additional networking and educational opportunities.

Women in Green: Fresh Perspectives

Nov. 14, 12-1:30 p.m. ET

For 13 years and counting, Women in Green has provided a space for women leaders and allies to gather, share insights and learn from one another across diverse fields, disciplines, generations and career stages. This year's event, themed "Fresh Perspectives," promises to be exceptionally inspiring and memorable, as it will feature a panel of inspiring women leaders and storytellers nominated by you.

Stay tuned for an announcement of our panel participants. We hope you'll join us and bring your own "Fresh Perspective" as we discuss how to address the challenges women professionals face and how to perceive women's achievements without the influence of historical sentiments. Together we'll explore how we can transcend traditional frameworks and build on past successes to tackle pressing issues in the built environment, including the urgent need for decarbonization, resilience and social equity, as well as advocating for bold public policies.

Women in Green can be registered for as an add-on to your Greenbuild Conference registration.
