Bellflower’s Zero Tolerance Policy on Illegal Fireworks

The 4th of July celebration is just around the corner and the City of Bellflower is once again taking a zero tolerance stance on illegal fireworks. If you are caught possessing or discharging illegal fireworks a citation of $2,000 will be issued. Additionally, any person owning, possessing, or controlling any private property who allows others to gather on the property are also subject to a citation of $2,000 if illegal fireworks are used by anyone associated with the gathering (Bellflower Municipal Code 8.16).

To request an address to be added to our extra patrol list for firework enforcement, contact the Bellflower Sheriff's Substation at (562) 925-0124. If illegal fireworks are being actively used at an address, contact the Lakewood Sheriff's Station at (562) 623-3500.
