Closures on State Routes 99, 132, and Interstate 5
Stanislaus County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various lane and ramp closures on State Route 99 (SR-99), State Route 132 (SR-132), and Interstate 5 (I-5). Work is scheduled to occur as follows:
State Route 99
Full closure of the Tuolumne Boulevard offramp from southbound SR-99 in Modesto for irrigation work on Monday, August 12, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Full closure of the 5th Street/G Street onramp to southbound SR-99 in Modesto for irrigation work on Monday, August 12, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Full closure of the Maze Boulevard/L Street offramp from southbound SR-99 in Modesto for irrigation work on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Full closure of the 6th Street/I Street onramp to northbound SR-99 in Modesto for irrigation work on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Full, long-term closures of the vending machine buildings at the northbound and southbound Enoch Christofferson Rest Areas for renovations. The project is expected to last through the fall of 2024.
State Route 132
Overnight, one-way traffic control on SR-132 between the San Joaquin River and Paradise Road, west of Modesto, for drainage work beginning Sunday, August 11, through Friday, August 16, 2024, from 9:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m.
Overnight, alternating lane closures on eastbound and westbound SR-132 between El Vista Avenue and Trask Lane in Modesto for utility work beginning Monday, August 12, through Wednesday, August 14, 2024, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
Lane shifts between Reinway Avenue and F Street/Hickman Road on SR-132 in Waterford for construction work beginning Monday, August 12, through Friday, August 16, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Note: Construction is expected to continue through the fall of 2024.
Interstate 5
Full, long-term closures of the northbound and southbound Westley Safety Roadside Rest Areas on I-5 for construction work. Note:This project is expected to continue through the fall of 2025.
Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
