Janelle Bynum denies reality of her extreme soft on crime record during interview

Janelle Bynum denies reality of her extreme soft-on-crime record during interview

September 23, 2024

Pressed on her radical record during a recent interview, extreme Democrat Janelle Bynum lied, denied and interrupted. However, Bynum's desperate ploys failed to mask her history of support for decriminalizing fentanyl, denying rape victims justice and blocking police from stopping riots.

Bynum claim:
Bynum: "The chiefs and sheriffs praised the work that I did"

Reality:
Oregon police condemned Bynum, writing "Janelle Bynum has disgraced Oregon police officers and all Oregonians. She does not deserve a promotion."

Bynum claim:
Bynum: "I made sure that they had the tools and techniques that they needed to protect us during times of riot"

Reality:
Bynum praised rioters and her extreme legislation blocked police from stopping dangerous riots

Bynum claim:
Rep. Chavez-DeRemer: "She has also supported rioters and rapists-" Bynum: "-That is an absolute lie!"

Reality:
Bynum cast the sole vote against giving rape victims more time to seek justice, arguing her "job" was to "protect the accused," rather than victims. Then Democrats and Republicans criticized Bynum for blocking legislation strengthening penalties for teachers who sexually abuse kids.

Bynum claim:
"My record on public safety is strong"

Reality:
Bynum endorsed the disastrous Measure 110 decriminalizing fentanyl

"Janelle Bynum's appalling performance was disgraceful and deeply concerning. Voters deserve better than an extreme soft-on-crime politician like Bynum who lies about her record when confronted with the truth." - NRCC Spokesperson Ben Petersen
