Jefferson County Man Admits to Cocaine Charge

MARTINSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA - Jamie Green, age 46, of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, pled guilty today to conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute and to distribute cocaine.

According to court documents, the United States Postal Service Office of Inspector General intercepted a package containing more than two pounds of cocaine mailed from Los Angeles, California, to Green's address in Jefferson County, West Virginia. Law enforcement executed a search warrant and arrested Green at his home.

Green faces up to 20 years in prison. A federal district court judge will determine the sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Kyle Kane is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government.

Investigative agencies include the United States Postal Service Office of Inspector General, the West Virginia State Police, and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert W. Trumble presided.
