The New York Times described composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim as a 'Titan of the American Musical'. He was responsible for creating some of Broadway's most popular and cherished shows.

Join the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra and some of Aotearoa's finest singers to celebrate this late, great musical legend. This will be a concert of Sondheim classics performed at Auckland's magnificent home of musicals and cabaret, The Civic.

From familiar songs like 'Tonight' from West Side Story and 'Send in the Clowns' from A Little Night Music to other favourites from his hit shows Company, Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods and Follies. This concert will showcase some of the very best musical theatre tunes ever composed.
