Entrepreneurs from Campania meet Bavaria

The Consul General of Italy to Munich, Sergio Maffettone, welcomed a delegation of institutional figures and entrepreneurs from Campania. In cooperation with ITALCAM - represented by its President, Annamaria Andretta, and its Secretary General, Alessandro Marino - the Consulate General organised two days of meetings with Bavarian institutions and companies, in order to promote an exchange of ideas and business experiences between the entities of both regions, considering sectors of mutual interest.

Consul General Sergio Maffettone said: "This first mission, organised by Promos Italia and ITALCAM - the Italian-German Chamber of Commerce, has been very important to define the areas of possible cooperation between entrepreneurs from Campania and Bavaria. Bavaria is, indeed, one of the most industrialised Länder in Europe and is characterised by a strong presence of old and new immigrants from Campania. There are all the prerequisites for strengthening economic, trade and tourism relations between the two regions. As Consulate, we are ready to provide all the necessary institutional support. The presence of the Presidents of the Salerno and Caserta Chambers of Commerce and of the Campania Aerospace District has contributed to provide authoritativeness to the mission and is the best guarantee for an effective follow-up development."

The delegation from Campania was composed of Tommaso De Simone, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Caserta; Andrea Prete, President of Unioncamere Nazionale, and of the Chamber of Commerce of Salerno; Antonio Marchiello, Councillor for Production Activities of the Campania Region; Vincenzo Giannotti, President of Tarì - Marcianise; Luigi Carrino, President of Distretto Aerospaziale Campania - DAC; Gustavo Ascione, President of the "San Leucio Textile" Business Network; Letizia Davide, Vice-President of Consorzio Mozzarella di Bufala Campana DOP; Donatella Cagnazzo, President of Fondazione Sistema Irpinia and coordinator of the event.
