On July 23, 2024, State Police of Latham, with the assistance of the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, and the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce arrested Tufan Oner, 24, of Guilderland NY, for Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class "E" felony.

Oner is accused of possessing images consistent with child sexual exploitation. His arrest followed an investigation that stemmed from a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). On July 23, 2024, a search warrant was also executed at Oner's Guilderland, NY home.

Oner was arrested at his home and transported to SP Latham, where he was processed. Hewas issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Guilderland Town Court on August 1, 2024, and released.
