Bridle Trail Ribbon Cutting at Wyandotte County Lake

Bridle Trail Ribbon Cutting at Wyandotte County Lake

Published on September 05, 2024

Tomorrow, September 6 at 3PM, the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas (UG) is excited to host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Wyandotte County Lake (91st and Leavenworth Road, KCK) for the unveiling of the new Bridle Trail Signage. This new signage will offer nature explorers at the lake new visual mile markers and wayfinding throughout the 8.5-mile trail circling the lake.

The first leg of the Bridle Trail was built in the late 1930s, shortly after Wyandotte County Park was created. Throughout the years, the trail has expanded to completely encircle the lake. Funds for the new trail signage were secured by the Wyandotte County Parks Foundation, the Hollywood Casino Grant and the TURF (T-Bones Uncommitted Recreation Fund).

Parking for this event is available at the 83rd Street shelter at Wyandotte County Lake.
