State Route Detours Scheduled for Rail Crossing Maintenance
TIFTON - CSX Transportation has scheduled maintenance at crossings located on state routes in Crisp, Turner and Wilcox counties, which will require non-local traffic to detour.
Each crossing is expected to be closed for five days. Please note that the dates are subject to change depending on weather, the railroad's schedule or other factors.
Wilcox County, State Route (SR) 159 at milepost 0.34, currently scheduled to close at 8 a.m. Sept. 17. Detour roads will be Hatley Road, Williford Crossing Road and SR 90. Wilcox County officials have given Georgia DOT permission to detour traffic onto county roads.
Turner County, SR 112 in Rebecca, currently scheduled to close at 8 a.m. Sept. 24. Detour roads will be SR 233 and SR 90.
Crisp County, US 41/SR 7 in Cordele, currently scheduled to close at 8 a.m. Sept. 24. Detour roads will be US 280/SR 30, Fifth Street and Eighth Avenue. Cordele city officials have given Georgia DOT permission to detour traffic onto city streets.
