Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations hosts reception on occasion of Thailand's HRC candidature

On 26 September 2024, H.E. Mr. Cherdchai Chaivaivid, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations, was assigned by the Minister of Foreign Affairs to host and deliver opening remarks at the reception on the occasion of Thailand's candidature to the Human Rights Council (HRC) for the term 2025-2027 at the Permanent Mission of Thailand to the United Nations in New York. The reception was well attended by high-level representatives from various countries.

Thailand's candidacy to the HRC for the term 2025-2027 reflects its continued commitment to further advance the promotion and protection of human rights in the country, region and worldwide. Thailand is aspired to be a constructive member of the Council and serve as a bridge builder to forge cooperation in responding effectively to new and emerging human rights challenges in the context of complex and rapidly changing world.
