An employee from POWERCHINA is interviewed on Iraqi News.

On July 23, Iraqi News of Iraq's National News Television once again reported on the construction progress of 48 model schools in Wasit Province of south-central Iraq, which are being built by POWERCHINA, and offered high praise for the acceleration of construction on the schools.

The news report mentioned that the 48 national model schools in Wasit Province are currently one of Iraq's most important livelihood projects. To date, 16 schools have been completed, and construction is progressing rapidly.

Once fully completed, the schools will provide excellent learning conditions for tens of thousands of teachers and students as well as substantially alleviate the shortage of schools in Iraq, significantly enhancing the country's overall education level.

The 48 model schools are located in various towns across the province. The construction includes the main civil engineering, mechanical and electrical installation, structural work, water supply and drainage, electrical systems, fire protection, and decoration. Currently, the completed schools are being handed over and undergoing the acceptance process, while POWERCHINA is accelerating construction on the remaining schools.

Iraq's National News Television, founded in Baghdad, is one of the oldest TV stations in the Arab world. It is an official TV channel primarily broadcasting news at the top of the hour, including live coverage and subtitled news.
