Young, Hassan Resolution Recognizing 120th Anniversary of Big Brothers Big Sisters Passes Senate

WASHINGTON - Yesterday, the United States Senate unanimously passed a resolution, led by U.S. Senators Todd Young (R-Ind.) and Maggie Hassan (D-N.H.), recognizing the 120^th anniversary of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBS), one of the oldest and largest youth mentoring organizations in the United States.

The resolution commends BBBS for its successful work mentoring young Americans and strengthening thousands of communities. The resolution also supports the continuation and expansion of BBBS programs.

"Years ago, I had the opportunity to be a mentor through a Big Brothers Big Sisters program. The experience helped me understand the incredible impact that connection can have on both the Big Brother and the Little Brother," said Senator Young. "I'm glad to lead this resolution honoring the work of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, and I am committed to ensuring more young people are able to benefit from its life-changing programs."
