Congressman Cohen Announces NIH Grant to St. Jude

MEMPHIS - Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9) today announced that St. Jude Children's Research Hospital will receive a grant of $773,257 to investigate the mechanism of lysosome segregation and cell fate regulation in dividing hematopoietic stem cells. The funding is from the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute.

Congressman Cohen made the following statement:

"I am always pleased to see the National Institutes of Health (NIH) investing in research at our premier children's research hospital, helping to find therapies and cures for complex medical conditions. This funding is likely to improve outcomes and potentially save lives."
