OROVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT INVESTIGATES SHOOTING INCIDENT ON MYERS STREET

Oroville, CA- On Sunday, October 27, 2024, at approximately 6:07 p.m., the Oroville Police Department's dispatch center received multiple emergency 911 calls reporting what was described as 10-12 gunshots in the vicinity of the 3400 block of Myers Street. The incident caused concern among residents, many of whom reported hearing gunfire and noted vehicles leaving the area shortly after the shots were fired.

Upon receiving the calls, Oroville Police officers were immediately dispatched to the scene. Responding officers promptly began a thorough search of the area for potential victims, witnesses, and any physical evidence that could assist in their investigation. At this time, there are no reported injuries.

During the preliminary assessment, officers discovered multiple shell casings on the ground, indicating that shots had indeed been fired. Additionally, surveillance footage was located, capturing parts of the incident, which is now being reviewed for further insights into the events that transpired.
