Recently, the Miami-Dade School Board commissioned JCI International, Inc. (JCI) as the construction management firm to complete a General Obligation Bond (GOB) new building addition and renovation project at Hialeah Gardens Elementary School. The project is valued at $8.1 million.
Built in 1993, Hialeah Gardens Elementary School currently is comprised of eight permanent
buildings, situated on an approximately 8 acres. The facility has 865 student stations, which will increase to 973 upon completion of this project.
The proposed scope of work includes a new building addition with six classrooms for an additional 108 new student stations, demolition of a portable building and restoration of the site, 20 additional parking spaces with drainage system, a new covered walkway, and a new campus-wide fire alarm system.
Total sub-consultant Small/Micro Business Enterprise participation: 15 percent
Total sub-consultant Minority/Women Business Enterprise participation: 23.92 percent
Total project allocation: $8.1 million Final completion: January 2026
