How to watch the BBC Northern Ireland Election Debate

Ahead of the General Election on 4 July, the BBC is hosting two prime-time Network TV debates and dedicated debates in Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales.

Here's everything you need to know about the Northern Ireland Election debate.

When is the BBC Northern Ireland Election Debate?

Tara Mills will chair The NI Leaders' Debate in Belfast on Thursday 27 June at 9pm, in front of a studio audience. It's being broadcast on BBC One Northern Ireland, BBC iPlayer and the News Channel. The BBC News NI website will have a live page during the debate bringing analysis and reaction.

Who is participating in the BBC Northern Ireland Election Debate?

  • Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) - Gavin Robinson
  • Sinn Féin - Chris Hazzard
  • Social Democratic and Labour Party (SDLP) - Colum Eastwood
  • Alliance - Naomi Long
  • Ulster Unionist Party (UUP) - Robbie Butler

Senior figures from the smaller parties will be interviewed on an extended BBC Newsline at 10.30pm on Thursday 27 June and on BBC Radio Ulster's Good Morning Ulster on Friday 28 June.

BBC Network TV Debates

Wednesday 26 June, Nottingham - Mishal Husain will host a head-to-head debate between Rishi Sunak and Sir Keir Starmer. This is set to be the last TV debate of the election campaign, as people prepare to cast their votes the following week. It will be broadcast from 8.15pm-9.30pm.
