Grindeks supports the 32nd A. Krauklis Memorial Basketball Tournament

This year, "Grindeks" will support the 32nd Alfrēds Krauklis Memorial Basketball Tournament, which is the largest children's and youth basketball event in the Baltics. The event will take place in Riga from August 16th to 18th. This year, children aged 9 to 17 will participate, representing a total of 210 teams, 165 of which are from Latvia.

This support will help ensure the successful running of the tournament and promote the development of sports among young people, giving young basketball players the opportunity to improve their athletic skills in an international environment. "Grindeks" has provided financial support to cover the organizational expenses of the tournament.

The Alfrēds Krauklis Memorial Basketball Tournament is a significant event that will bring together young athletes from seven countries this year. The tournament not only fosters sports skills but also promotes friendship, team spirit, and intercultural communication. Tournament organizer Jānis Labucs said: "This year, for the third consecutive year, a new record for the number of teams will be set at the Alfrēds Krauklis Memorial Basketball Tournament, with 210 teams from 7 countries participating in the 32nd tournament. I am pleased that 85 teams from Riga and 81 teams from other Latvian regions will be competing, which justifies calling this tournament a national sports event, while also being the largest children's and youth basketball tournament in the Baltics.
