mSzafir electronic signature now available in fully remote mode for Bank Millennium retail clients

Bank Millennium customers gain a new option of remote identity confirmation and signing documents online. The Bank, together with KIR, has made available the possibility of using the mSzafir mobile qualified electronic signature.

From September 2024, retail clients of Bank Millennium will be able to take advantage of a modern tool enabling simple, remote identity confirmation and signing of documents online - without printing, scanning, sending them by post or storing them in paper form. The mSzafir mobile signature offered by KIR, allows you to sign documents anywhere and at any time.

- An electronic signature makes it easier to manage digital documentation such as agreements, official letters or invoices. It works in all circumstances - in private, business and official relations. In addition to convenience and security, mSzafir also reduces the costs associated with handling documents in paper form. It is an indispensable element of the modern world of business services - says Elżbieta Włodarczyk, Director of the Electronic Signature Business Line at KIR.

To use the mSzafir electronic signature, all you need is a computer or a phone with Internet access. Bank Millennium customers interested in an electronic signature can buy it in a few simple steps on the KIR website. To sign the document with mSzafir, they confirm their identity in their electronic banking for retail clients: Millenet or the Bank Millennium mobile application.

- At Bank Millennium, we focus on technologies that improve the daily lives of our clients. The introduction of mSzafir is a response to the growing market demand for services enabling full mobility and 24/7 availability. Our goal is to provide customers with maximum convenience while fully maintaining security standards - says Paweł Idzikowski from the Electronic Banking Department at Bank Millennium.

The e-signature can be purchased in a one-time variant, which allows you to sign a single document, or a long-term variant - for one or two years, with a selected limit of signatures. Each signature placed on the mSzafir platform is additionally secured with a qualified time stamp. mSzafir does not require installing or configuring additional software or using hardware such as card readers. The mSzafir e-signature is available on both Android and iOS mobile devices.

The use of a qualified electronic signature is regulated by the EU eIDAS regulation, which means that signatures made with mSzafir have a legal force equivalent to a handwritten signature and are respected in all European Union member states.
