Beginning January 2025, graduate students in Western Washington University's Psychology Department will provide individual counseling to members of the local community, under faculty supervision. These services are free.
Western's Counseling Training Clinic has openings for individual counseling of adults, teens and children. The clinic is offering in-person services for all ages, and remote telehealth services for individuals age 13 and older, from January to June 2025. Appointments are available from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
Counselors are trained to help with a wide range of issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, vocational choices, grief, communication problems, parent-child conflicts and childhood issues.
Anyone interested in these services can call the Counseling Training Clinic in the Psychology Department at 360-650-3184 and leave a confidential message with a contact phone number. WWU students seeking mental-health assistance should contact Western's Counseling and Wellness Center at 360.650.3164.
