This is your USD News Minute.
At USD's Founders Gala over the weekend, philanthropist and Chair Emerita Darlene Marcos Shiley pledged a record-breaking $75 million to the university. It's the largest gift in university history and will touch several different areas of USD's campus, with a primary emphasis on creating what will be known as the 'Shiley STEM Initiative', expanding innovative STEM programs, and funding new, state-of-the-art spaces for STEM on campus.
The Center for Inclusion and Diversity invites you to attend the Leal-AnzaldĂșa Diversity Fireside Chat tomorrow at 4 p.m. at Maher's Salomon Hall. Dr. Nakeisha Lewis, Associate Dean of Strategy and Curriculum Innovation at the Knauss School of Business, will talk about the role of representation in business education. Last week, SOLES announced the launch of the Center for Embodied Equity and Neurodiversity. The center aims to address the unique needs and strengths of neurodivergent individuals while promoting awareness and understanding across the broader community.
