The Preliminary FY 2024-2025 Budget

The City of Azle's preliminary proposed budget for FY2024-2025 is available for viewing. Public Hearing notices will be posted at City Hall and in the Tri-County Reporter in the coming weeks.

State law requires the City to provide information if the proposed budget will raise more total property taxes than the previous year and how much of that total increase will be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year. State law also requires the City to file a proposed budget with the City Secretary and post it to the City's website by a certain date - this year by July 26. However, a proposed tax rate for tax year 2024 has yet to be finalized as the City did not receive all information required to calculate a tax rate until the afternoon of July 25. Therefore, we are unable to provide the information required as of the printing of this draft. This cover page and draft budget will be updated as that information becomes available.
